The incident unfolded at approximately 5: While outside the videographer’s residence ironing out details for the project, the two were attacked by two armed men. The artiste and the videographer were robbed of several items of value, including three smartphones, an Apple MacBook computer and the keys to the entertainer’s Yamaha motorcycle. At least one other man is believed to be involved in the incident as a man was seen speeding away in a silver Nissan AD Wagon alongside the two on the motorcycle. Recounting the ordeal, Jae Prynse said he is very disheartened by the bold actions of the men, considering Spanish Town and its environs are currently under a state of public emergency. Underscoring that the presence of the law enforcement officers in the area is not a deterrent to criminals, the entertainer said he is thankful he is alive and that no one was seriously harmed. He used the opportunity to encourage young people to work honestly for what they want, and sought to assure them that there is no future in a life of crime. The incident has been reported to the Spanish Town Police Station, who are currently conducting their investigations.

For me, was a very special year for a variety of reasons. These three things were pivotal events in my life. Reggae music pretty much took over my very being that year — it was like a drug and I was seriously hooked. I read everything I could about it in magazines, newspapers, fanzines. I spent all my spare time in reggae record shops. I bought as much as I could afford. I picked up mainly UK releases but also started to buy pre-release Jamaican imports.
Tommy Vance even read a request out for me! I created my very first Wants List. Trust me, it was extensive! As for the kind of reggae music that appealed to me at the time — I got into roots, dub, toasting, UK vibes, the works! It was all so exciting and new and fresh and different.

Our appreciation to Okezie Ihekwaba for contributing his invaluable collection of MP3s. History of Nigerian Music The music of Nigeria includes many kinds of Folk and popular music, some of which are known worldwide. Styles of folk music are related to the multitudes of ethnic groups in the country, each with their own techniques, instruments, and songs. Little is known about the country’s music history prior to European contact, although bronze carvings dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries have been found depicting musicians and their instruments.
Subsequently, Nigerian musicians created their own styles of United States hip hop music and Jamaican reggae. Nigeria’s musical output has achieved international acclaim not only in the fields of folk and popular music, but also Western art music written by composers such as Fela Sowande. Polyrhythms, in which two or more separate beats are played simultaneously, are a part of much of traditional African music; Nigeria is no Advertising exception.
The African hemiola style, based on the asymmetric rhythm pattern is an important rhythmic technique throughout the continent.

This is the second album from the singer to reach the top spot on the prestigious chart. The latter is history making, as this achievement makes her the first female artiste from Jamaica to have back-to-back albums hit the top spot on the chart. I have come a far way, sometimes on love for the music and faith alone. It’s not an easy time in music, but whoever said anything should or has to be easy,” she said. I expected for listeners to choose their favourites. I expected my fans to buy the album, and I expected God to do the rest. Great is the power of love. Great is the power of positive energy. Great is the power of my fans all over the world, and great is the power of the Almighty.
